Buker Family Bulletin
Through
October, the Susan
Cooke Gallery welcomes Barbara Willcox DiLorenzo. Please follow this link <pdf> to learn
more about this local artist. Plan a visit to the Gallery to see the exhibit
entitled, “The Places We Shop”, featuring some familiar local spots.
Buker School is currently scheduling artists to display their
work in the Susan Cooke Gallery during the school year. We invite
all interested artists to contact our volunteer gallery coordinator, Laurie
Polese, at LHPolese@comcast.net. On Wednesday, October 14th, from 7:00p to 8:00p, we
will hold a parent forum at the Buker School library to discuss the District’s
safety curriculum, Kids and Company:
Together For Safety. This is a comprehensive program taught in grades K-5 that
provides children with the skills, information, self-confidence and support
necessary to prevent abduction and sexual abuse. The program takes a positive and constructive approach in
helping children respond to various situations and make safe decisions. Kids and Company has been taught in the district for the past
fourteen years. The forum will
provide parents, who are unfamiliar with the program, an overview of the
skills that are taught, and a chance to view the materials used. If you have any questions about the program or the forum,
please contact Kathleen Hughes, Counselor, at 978-468-5348. HAMILTON-WENHAM COMMUNITY LINKS: Use these handy links to see what programs are being offered
