Naviance - Career Interest Profiler and Cluster Finder
Students can take a look at the “career interest profiler” on the "about me" tab in Naviance, a tool that can help discover the types of work activities and careers that match to interests. The Cluster Finder will help you learn what career clusters may be a good match based on activities that interest you, personal qualities that you have and subjects that you enjoy studying in school. My College QuickStart
The College Board provides students who took the PSAT/NMSQT free access to My College QuickStart for the duration of their high school years. This is a free online personalized planning kit based upon their test results. It includes an online score report, customized SAT study plan, and access to MyRoad, a college, majors, and career exploration tool. The MyRoad feature gives students the opportunity to take interest assessments and personality-type assessments to learn more about themselves, their interest and strengths, and the college majors and careers that may suit them.
Profiles are generated which offer an overview each major, areas of study, an outline of the typical academic path to fulfilling the major, popular careers related to that major, and perspectives from real students studying in their respective fields. Students can register for My College QuickStart by visiting www.collegeboard.com/psatextra and entering the access code printed on their official PSAT/NMSQT paper score report along with some identifying information. The MyRoad feature, as CHOICES Planner, makes the college application process easier by helping students organize resumes and narrow down the thousands of post-secondary institutions into a manageable list.
